Petri Simonen is a postgraduate student who is currently doing a MRes in Public Policy Research as part of his PhD studies. He has previously completed a M.A. in Psychology and MSc in Education, Public Policy and Equity.
The PhD research project he is going to be working on focuses on investigating who are the key influencers for young adults in Lifelong Learning policies, how these key influencers affect the decisions young adults make, and what the effects are on young adult learning and career choices. His research is funded by the ESRC-funded Scottish Doctoral Training Centre in partnership with Skills Development Scotland.
