Dr. Audrey MacDougall
Scottish Government’s Chief Social researcher and Head of Education Analysis, Intelligence and Performance. The Division provides research, economic and statistical analysis covering all aspects of education from pre-school to adult skills.
She is responsible for the overall quality and development of social research across Government. She completed her PhD on strategy making in the UK government(s) post devolution at the University of Edinburgh.
Audrey joined the Scottish Government in 2006 and was appointed to her current position in November 2011. During her time with the Scottish Government she has worked on a range of high profile issues including welfare reform, Higher Education Funding and the National Improvement Framework.
